Tall rubber boots and heavy leather need real coverage against chafing. We knit these over-the-calf work socks with dense cotton and polyester yarn to soak up sweat and soften every step. The 16 inch leg stays high under the knee through a full day on hard floors.

What we built into this pair
Sixteen Inch Leg
We knit the shaft 16 inches tall from heel to cuff to clear tall work boots. The wide ribbed band grips the upper calf firmly so the sock stays put through long hours of standing and walking.
Dense Terry Sole
Heavy terry loop padding runs underfoot to soften the impact of hard steel toes and concrete floors. The thick cotton blend cushion creates a soft barrier inside stiff boots to help stop friction blisters.
Breathable Cotton Blend
We blend 49 percent cotton with 48 percent polyester, adding nylon and spandex for stretch. The yarn wicks sweat away from your skin, drying quickly to keep your feet comfortable through all four seasons.
Reinforced Boot Heel
We reinforce the heel and toe pockets with strong polyester and nylon to handle heavy friction. The dense knit resists wear in high-stress spots and holds its shape through regular cycles in the washing machine.

These are knee high socks. They are a perfect thickness. They are easy to put on and take off. They stay up all day. You never have to pull them up. They feel good.
I like these socks very much. I work at an icecream factory. The room I'm in is a constant 35° F. These socks work out great for me. I don't have to wear so layers of clothes. My calves stay warm and I don't get as many cramps.
